Last Day Events – Are They Relevant?
We ask that you take the time to thoroughly examine the facts before drawing any conclusions. Most importantly we desire that through prayer, you would seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and allow the Word of God to speak for itself.
In this study we will we will use the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy (SOP) as our authority.
1). Does the Christian need to maintain a genuine relationship with Christ? “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” John 15:4-10.
Note. In the above verses Jesus counsels His followers to abide in Him, thus Christ stresses the importance of having an abiding relationship with Him. (more…)

The Biblical Three Person Godhead
In this study we will seek to uncover the Biblical evidences in regards to the three persons that comprised the Godhead.
In various churches it is commonly taught that Jesus is a created being or a superior-angel and that He did not exist from all eternity. Many of these Churches also believe and teach that the Holy Spirit is not a person, while others conclude that He does not exist at all. But what do the Scriptures have to say? Let us turn to the Bible to find the answers concerning the Godhead.
1). What is the Biblical definition given for the three persons that comprised the Deity? “Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.”–Acts 17:29. Also read Rom. 1:20; Col. 2:9.
Note. The Bible’s definition of the Deity is Godhead and not trinity. If trinity is not a Biblical term where did the expression come from? What does it mean? In a review of history we find that the word trinity was first used in the second century by *Tertullian; yet the doctrine itself was not invented until the fourth century.

“Through nature and revelation, through His providence, and by the influence of His spirit, God speaks to us. But these are not enough; we need also to pour out our hearts to Him in prayer”… but what is prayer? “Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him.”
1). When Jesus was upon the earth, who did He direct the church to pray to? “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”–Matthew 6:6. See also verse 9.
2). Who did the early church or the apostolic church pray to? Let’s read the Bible for the answer: “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voices to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou are God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: And now, Lord, behold their threatening: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word. And when they had prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”–Acts 4:24, 29, 31. (more…)
